Business & Finance Committee 2007-2008
The Business and Finance Committee oversees the Associations
finances, implements financial policy guidelines, and coordinates budgeting,
reporting and auditing procedures.
Committee Goals:
- Update the Policies and Procedures manual to reflect all
changes approved by the Board of Directors, ensuring that the most recent version is available on line.
- Research appropriate investing opportunities consistent with Board policy.
- Modify the five-year financial plan to reflect changing economic conditions.
- Work on previous year's audit recommendations.
- Work closely with all committee chairs to ensure that budgets are appropriately established and develop a regular, structured communication to monitor any budget variances.
- Centralize check processing and bank accounts for the professional development groups with the Controller to enable stronger controls and better reporting.
