St. Louis Workshop Committee 2008-2009

The St. Louis Workshop Committee plans, supervises and evaluates the annual workshop to provide quality and timely professional development.

Committee Goals:

  • Support CACUBO’s mission of improving college and university financial management and business administration.
  • Provide a professional development opportunity of outstanding quality and value of staff for all levels in business/financial management.
  • Offer course selections representative of issues facing constituent institutions (public, private, large, small, technical as well as community colleges) and business/financial professionals within the region.
  • Coordinate the presentation of course selections by a variety of excellent, experienced and knowledgeable speakers.
  • Manage the workshop in a responsible and fiscally sound manner that will ensure the continuation of the workshop while keeping the cost to participants as low as possible.

It's that time again. Mark your calendars now for the 2009 CACUBO St. Louis Professional Development Workshop on February 11-12, 2009. With over 30 concurrent sessions covering topics as diverse as Financial Reporting, Taxation Issues, Business Officer Issues, Performance Management Tools and Skill Building, this workshop has something for everyone, including great opportunities for networking. And with a registration fee of only $295 through January 31, the St. Louis Workshop is one of the best values in professional development!

Again this year, CACUBO's Current Issues Committee will be offering a Pre-Conference workshop. This is a great opportunity to get not only additional professional development, but also more time for networking. The workshop will be on Tuesday, February 10, the day before the Professional Development Workshop.

The St. Louis Professional Workshop will continue to be held at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark and has guaranteed a rate of $109 per night for reservations made by February 1, 2009, for attendees of any of these workshops.

Watch your mail for a printed flyer that is planned to be mailed and made available on the CACUBO website in December. Registration for the conferences and the hotel will be available through the website in December also. The full program brochure will be available in late December or early January. Again this year, the full program brochure will only be available on the CACUBO website and printed and distributed to attendees when they check-in at the conference.
