| Higher Education Accounting
Committee 2009-2010
The Higher Education Accounting Committee plans, supervises and evaluates
the annual workshop on higher education accounting standards and practices
for public and independent institutions.
Committee goals for 2009-10:
- Present a premier professional development program
- Provide an excellent learning experience with outstanding instructors
and quality instructional materials
- Serve a wide group of junior-level higher education professionals
from a regional and national audience
- Provide a comfortable site, conducive to learning, at a modest
price
- Net a modest profit from the workshop with an enrollment of 100
students
- Enhance networking for the attendees
- Provide opportunities for networking outside of class
- Publish a list of attendees

Continue to improve the tradition of handing over the workshop
leadership
- Add to the procedures checklist that was developed in 2010
- Involve the incoming chair in all activities
- Explore changing the venue for 2011
members to guide them and to build on for continually improving workshops
in the future.
