Comprehensive and Doctoral Institution Professional Development

Do you work at a doctoral institution in the central region? CACUBO offers comprehensive and doctoral institution professional development opportunities through events and resources.

Comprehensive and doctoral institutions face the challenge of providing students with the support they need in and out of the classroom, while finding alternative funding sources to the student tuition and endowment revenues that you have traditionally counted on. To meet these needs, business officers need to bring innovative and creative thinking to identify new revenue sources.

To help you network and share information with your peers at similar institutions, CACUBO offers comprehensive and doctoral institution professional development for business officers and staff at four-year, public and independent institutions with more than 4,000 full-time students. Our various online and in-person events enable you to share case studies and best practices, and access a wealth of expertise and resources from other members who can relate to your institution’s mission.

Students who attend comprehensive or doctoral institutions want individualized attention and a diverse campus experience. To meet these expectations, schools need to invest in housing, student unions and athletic facilities, among others. CACUBO provides a setting for comprehensive and doctoral institutions to discuss and collaborate on strategic planning and cost containment solutions. We help arm you with insights from other schools in the region, so you can grow professionally and bring best practices back to your institution.

Represent Comprehensive and Doctoral Institutions Within CACUBO

To ensure comprehensive and doctoral institutions have a voice in shaping the future of CACUBO, as well as our programming and resources, we established a Comprehensive and Doctoral Institution Constituency Council in 2014. If you’re interested in representing the interests of your school and other institutions, like yours, within CACUBO, consider volunteering for this council. For more information, click here.

As an organization, we’ve grown to include more than 600 member institutions across the central region, of which, more than 70 are either comprehensive or doctoral institutions.
