The four (4) key constituent groups within the CACUBO membership are:

  • Community Colleges: Comprising two-year public institutions, this group plays a vital role in local communities and provides accessible, affordable education to a diverse student population.
  • Comprehensive & Doctoral Institutions: This group consists of four-year public and independent institutions with more than 4,000 students. These institutions fall within Carnegie categories, including Baccalaureate, Master's, and Doctoral degree offerings.
  • Research Universities: Representing public and independent research universities, as well as medical schools and centers, this group includes institutions in the Carnegie categories of Doctoral Universities (Higher Research Activity - R2, Highest Research Activity - R1), and Special Focus Four-Year Medical Schools and Centers.

Diverse Roles, One Powerful Network
