CPE CREDITS

Quick Summary:

How do I get CPE credits from CACUBO?

To earn CPE credits through CACUBO, attend a NASBA-approved event such as the Annual Conference, educational workshops, or virtual webinars. Participation is verified on-site or through digital logs. Official CPE certificates are emailed to attendees within 2-4 weeks post-event. CACUBO is a registered sponsor on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.

CPE Credits for Higher Education Business Officers

CACUBO provides NASBA-certified Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits designed specifically for the unique challenges of higher education finance and administration.

Whether you are a CFO at a large research university, a controller at a community college, or a business manager at a small private institution, our programs offer the rigorous, industry-standard accreditation you need to maintain your professional licensure and elevate your institutional impact. Through a membership in any of the four regional ACUBOs, you qualify for a reduced registration fee for our CPE-certified events to earn the credits you need to advance your career.

Our Commitment to Quality: NASBA Registration

To ensure CACUBO’s CPE conferences qualify, we maintain a close working relationship with NASBA. Our leadership also has extensive knowledge of NASBA’s CPE credit requirements, so you can be sure you are earning what you need at each CACUBO event.

Since 2013, the Central Association of College and University Business Officers (CACUBO) has been registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. We are currently approved for Group-Live and Group-Internet-Based Delivery. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.nasbaregistry.org. The CACUBO sponsor identification number is 116326.

In Accordance with the standards of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors, CPE credits have been granted based on a 50-minute hour.

Record Retention & Support

CACUBO retains the required materials for a minimum of five years as specified by the current Statement of Standards of CPE Programs. To fulfill this requirement, items to be retained include (but are not limited to) records of participation, date and location of presentations, instructor names and credentials, number of CPE credits earned by participants, and results of program evaluations. In addition, we retain copies of program materials, evidence that the program materials were developed and reviewed by qualified parties, and a record of how CPE credits were determined.

If you have not received a copy of your CPE certificate or have any CPE questions, please contact Julee Sherman, CACUBO's CPE Coordinator.
